How the legend began von Risa (Nasc) ================================================================================ Kapitel 1: How the legend began ------------------------------- In the past, long before the hero lives his first life, there were only solitary worlds. They kept to oneself. In one, the humans lived in a land full of blooming nature and a bright future ahead of them, watched over by the tutelary goddess Hylia, who received this world as a gift from her older sisters Din, Farore and Nayru. Hylia admired the world of humans and watched them whenever possible. But there was another god, too. He had white hair, pale skin and red eyes. His name was Nasc: god of linking, master of paths and patron saint of wandering souls. He and Hylia lived in this world, forging it according to their imagination without thinking or talking about their relationship. It was normal. Deep love, which can only be perceived by a god. No romance. No passion. Just pure love. For that reason, Nasc decided to give Hylia a magical mirror so she could watch the land of the humans all the time. And he created a human with a part of himself to please Hylia. The name of this human was Link. Hylia and Link spent much time together. Talking. Watching the world through the mirror and laughing. The more time passed, the more Nasc felt something inside his heart he refused to believe. It was growing inside him. It got dark and darker. He couldn’t understand why Hylia loved the world of the humans so much. And then there is Link! He is still a part of him! Why can Link understand her but not him, Nasc, the god? Nasc’s resentment to this world rose. Increased to something that Nasc couldn’t hold inside his body any longer… and so he ripped it out. Let it drop on the world and hoped that it would destroy it all. He also banished Link so that Hylia and he could return to the olden days. But Hylia wouldn’t let him destroy Hyrule. She begged him to stop that pointless war. To spare the innocent lives. But Nasc was so full of pain that the only way he saw to get rid of what stood between him and Hylia was to destroy this world. So he created a powerful sword and gave it to his dark part. Demise. Hylia realized that she couldn’t stop him. So she separated Nasc’s mind from his body and sealed his mind in Link. She doesn’t have the heart to kill Nasc. Or kill another part of him. And this is why she created the Mastersword and gave it Link, so he can protect Hyrule and banish Demise, whatever it might take. The pain about how all of this turned out breaks something inside of her. And when Link’s blood drips to the floor and she holds him in her arms, she promises to never leave him alone with this burden and gives him the courage to confront this danger over and over again. Meanwhile, Nasc’s body sleeps in the shadows and his mind waits to this day to return to his body and slay the world. Hosted by Animexx e.V. (http://www.animexx.de)
